Job Description
**Role Summary**
We are seeking a recent Psychology graduate to join our team as a support specialist at a SEN school in Rochdale. The successful candidate will work closely with students aged 5-16 years old who require additional support due to significant trauma-informed behavior.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide individualized support to students on a 1:1 basis or in small groups, promoting academic and personal growth.
- Assist teachers in creating and implementing lesson plans, ensuring a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with students, teachers, and other school staff, fostering a collaborative and respectful atmosphere.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of behavior management strategies, promoting positive behavior and reducing challenging behavior.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will possess:
- A degree in Psychology or a related field.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students and staff.
- Patience, empathy, and understanding when working with students who require additional support.
- A flexible and adaptable approach, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
