About the Role

The Company: A leading manufacturer of building products is seeking an experienced Assistant Plant Manager to join their team in Lincoln. As a key member of the plant operations team, you will be responsible for the production of high-quality asphalt products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the production of asphalt products, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality standards.
  • Operate and maintain plant equipment, including the loading shovel and weighbridge.
  • Monitor and control the production process, ensuring efficient use of resources and minimizing waste.
  • Collaborate with the Assistant Manager and multi-skilled operatives to achieve plant targets and objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including the management of visitors and contractors.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of plant improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a similar plant role, preferably in the asphalt industry.
  • Strong technical knowledge of plant operations and maintenance.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and customers.
  • Ability to work flexibly, including weekends and overtime as required.
  • Commitment to health, safety, and environmental standards.
