Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Site Maintenance Technician to join our maintenance team at our DHL site in Coventry. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for performing diversified electrical and mechanical tasks, including analytical troubleshooting, in a planned and reactive environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform electrical and mechanical repairs and maintenance tasks in a busy automated logistics hub.
  • Support project and facility management work, ensuring seamless operations and minimal downtime.
  • Monitor operational sorter performances and implement continuous improvement measures to optimize efficiency.
  • Perform systems analysis on various systems, including S7 PLC, Profibus, ASi-Bus, and EtherCat network.
  • Backup and restore PLC systems, ensuring data integrity and system reliability.
  • Ensure all PPM schedules are completed within agreed timescales to a high standard.
  • Identify and rectify problematic faults, monitoring performance on a continual basis.
  • Articulate detailed reports to stakeholders, providing insights into system performance and maintenance activities.
  • Support existing site-based BEUMER Group CS colleagues, ensuring seamless collaboration and knowledge sharing.

Requirements

  • ONC in Electrical Engineering or Equivalent.
  • 3 years' experience in automated sortation and conveying.
  • Siemens Step 7 Level 2.
  • Knowledge of conducting automated sortation system Health Checks and fault finding.
  • Knowledge of Emergency Stop System.
  • Knowledge of Safety Supervision Systems.
  • Knowledge of mechanical and electrical aspects of automated sortation systems.
  • A flexible approach to customer and business requirements.
  • IT Literate with Knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications.
  • Good Communication and time keeping skills.
  • Proactive and capable of meeting targets and deadlines.
  • Capable of self-learning with supporting documentation.
