Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Field Service Engineer to join our team at IPEC Limited. As a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for the installation, testing, and commissioning of our monitoring systems in substations, as well as conducting online and offline high voltage partial discharge testing at customer sites worldwide.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install, test, and commission IPEC monitoring systems in substations, working closely with project managers and senior field service engineers.
  • Conduct online and offline high voltage partial discharge testing at customer sites, analyzing results and preparing technical reports for clients.
  • Perform repairs and maintenance or upgrade work on PD monitors permanently installed in substations as part of IPEC's SLA framework and maintenance agreements.
Requirements
  • Hold a graduate degree in Electrical or Electronics engineering, or a relevant engineering discipline.
  • Knowledge of safety precautions related to working with electrical and electronic equipment.
  • Be flexible and responsive in working patterns and hours, comfortable working independently.
  • Be a competent written and verbal communicator, able to engage and communicate with a wide range of people externally and internally.
  • Demonstrate an ability to learn and an interest in developing a career in the Power Industry, with an option to specialize in Substations and Partial Discharge impacts on systems.
  • Be willing to travel over 40% on field within the UK and globally.
