About the Role
We are seeking a highly experienced Project Director to lead our £250m New Build Residential Development in Leeds. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the project from conception to completion, interacting with both internal stakeholders and the client.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate a team of professionals to achieve the best results and ensure the project is delivered on time and within budget.
- Develop and manage project budgets, conduct risk assessments, and develop strategies to mitigate potential issues.
- Negotiate and manage contracts with vendors, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Ensure that all parties involved in the project adhere to contract terms and conditions.
- Make certain all employees under your control develop and progress within the business.
- Develop and implement project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
- Implement and monitor quality control processes to ensure construction standards are met.
- Planning and overall control of all site operations to ensure that the project targets are achieved.
- Impose strict snagging, handover, and aftercare measures to achieve zero defects upon completion.
- Organizing and overseeing the site team and all construction procedures to ensure they are completed in a timely and efficient manner.
- Monitor and control of sub-contractors on site and develop subcontractor relationships to ensure the successful delivery of the project.
- Work closely with and report to Operations Director to provide regular updates on project status, highlighting key milestones, challenges, and solutions.
Requirements
- Proven industry expertise with a track record of successfully managing the overall delivery of projects in excess of £50m.
- Extensive background within the industry with at least 5 years of experience working in a Project Director or similar position.
- Experience working on projects within residential/commercial sectors is advantageous; however, all candidates with a portfolio of delivering medium-large scale projects are of interest.
