M4 Specialists is currently looking for a Senior Automotive Technician to join our dynamic team. This is a permanent role with an opportunity for immediate engagement.

Job Responsibilities

Your primary responsibility will be to perform all necessary maintenance and warranty services on demonstration and press fleet vehicles, ensuring they remain in peak condition by utilizing manufacturer-approved processes and techniques.

In collaboration with fellow Senior Technicians, you will frequently liaise with the Technical Services department and maintain direct communication with both Client Services and the manufacturer's technical teams.

Monday to Friday

Salary
Competitive salary range between £43,000 and £45,000

Key Responsibilities
  • Support team members in troubleshooting technical challenges.
  • Oversee and manage workflow reports.
  • Ensure all workshop documentation is completed and adheres to manufacturer protocols.
  • Conduct vehicle inspections to identify any defects.
  • Be adaptable with working hours to accommodate shifts during holiday periods.
Maintain cleanliness and organization in your workspace.

Interpret technical service information and data from manuals, bulletins, and computer files, implementing necessary actions.

Ensure all company tools and equipment are maintained in a clean and safe condition, reporting any shortages or damages to the Head of Technical Operations.


Assist and collaborate with colleagues to ensure daily targets are consistently met.

Provide support in servicing other clients' or manufacturers' vehicles as required by business needs.


Comply with health and safety regulations on-site and maintain cleanliness in workshop areas.

Perform additional duties as reasonably required.

Experience & Skills
Essential
  • City & Guilds 1, 2, & 3 in Motor Vehicle Studies or Higher BTEC or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in a workshop setting.
  • Strong focus on quality, attention to detail, and adherence to standards.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
Desirable
  • Manufacturer training, including experience with EV and Hybrid vehicles.
  • Good level of industry knowledge and awareness.
Willingness to undertake manufacturer training courses is essential.
