The Role: Skills Development Tutor
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Skills Development Tutor to join our team on a temporary basis. In this role, you will directly contribute to the lives of young people experiencing homelessness by providing essential support and guidance within our supported housing project.
Your Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver individualized learning plans for residents and members of the local community in core subjects such as English, Maths, ICT, and essential skills for work.
- Conduct and supervise examinations and assessments, ensuring adherence to policies set by relevant external verifiers and awarding bodies.
- Engage with young people within our project and the wider community, acting as a mentor and championing independent living skills.
- Maintain accurate records, including course attendance, budgets, and learning plans.
Your Skills and Qualifications
To excel in this role, you will possess:
- A strong teaching ethic and a genuine passion for delivering impactful learning experiences.
- The ability to deliver Maths, English, and IT courses up to Level 2.
- Experience in supporting individuals to develop essential skills for the workplace.
- Strong digital literacy skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
