Family Solicitor Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Family Solicitor to join our team at Edwards & Pearce in Newcastle. The successful candidate will have a strong background in family law and be able to provide expert legal counsel to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Represent clients in family law matters, providing legal advice and guidance.
  2. Conduct thorough research and analysis of cases, working closely with clients to achieve the best possible outcomes.
  3. Prepare and file court documents, agreements, and petitions as required.
  4. Collaborate with other teams within the company to deliver exceptional service to clients.
  5. Represent clients at Directions Hearings and Contested Hearings, ensuring their interests are represented effectively.
  6. Stay up-to-date with changes in procedures and laws, applying this knowledge to provide the best possible service to clients.
  7. Resolve client concerns and queries in a timely and professional manner.
Requirements:
  1. At least 2 years' experience in a similar role, with a strong understanding of family law.
  2. Proficiency in Microsoft packages, with the ability to work efficiently and effectively.
  3. A keen eye for detail, ensuring accuracy and precision in all work.
  4. Ability to work to deadlines, prioritizing tasks and managing time effectively.
  5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with other teams.
  6. Our client is open to considering up to 2 days of remote work per week.
