About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead iOS Engineer to join our team at TSB Banking. As a key member of our engineering team, you will play a pivotal role in the design, development, and implementation of mission-critical software applications and systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development of iOS applications, driving technical vision and execution for feature teams.
  • Take ownership of the team's technical backlog, ensuring alignment with business goals and delivering complex, scalable solutions.
  • Collaborate with the Tech Lead and Android Lead to validate requirements, contribute to cross-platform consistency, and ensure high-quality deliverables.
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of iOS frameworks, architecture principles, and design patterns.
  • Lead and mentor junior team members, driving innovation and technical excellence across the team.
Requirements
  • Proven experience as an iOS Engineer, with a strong understanding of iOS frameworks and architecture principles.
  • Proficiency in Swift and Objective-C, with a solid understanding of mobile architecture principles and paradigms.
  • Experience with working in a large, modularised codebase in a GIT multi-repo, using package managers such as CocoaPods and SPM.
  • Strong expertise in unit and UI testing using XCTest, with familiarity with TDD and BDD.
  • Experience with continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, with familiarity with Fastlane, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions.
  • Solid understanding of cross-platform software architecture, design patterns, and best practices for building scalable and maintainable software systems.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
