Job Title: Senior Integration Specialist

As a key member of the Finance Transformation Programme, the Senior Integration Specialist will be based in the Information Services group of the University of Cambridge, responsible for delivering IT services that support the Collegiate University.

The Role

The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in developing integrations from legacy systems to the current and future Finance system (Oracle EBS and Oracle Fusion). They will develop and define the integration build, accept software modules from software developers, and produce builds for loading onto the target environment.

The ideal candidate will have experience in leading successful technical change in operational and project settings using various methodologies, alongside expert knowledge in system design and integration and expert knowledge of building complex system integrations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and define integration builds, including acceptance of software modules from software developers
  • Produce builds for loading onto the target environment
  • Design and implement integration test specifications and conduct tests, recording details of any failures and carrying out fault diagnosis
  • Adopt and adapt appropriate systems design methods, tools, and techniques, selecting from predictive (plan-driven) approaches or adaptive (iterative/agile) approaches
  • Make recommendations and assess associated risks, and review others' systems designs to ensure selection of appropriate technology, efficient use of resources, and integration of multiple systems and technology
Requirements
  • Expert knowledge of system design and integration, and experience in building complex system integrations
  • Experience in leading successful technical change in operational and project settings using various methodologies
  • Excellent planning skills, including short, medium, and long-term planning using MS Projects
  • Understanding of ERP (preferably Oracle Financials)
  • Ability to share technical knowledge and skills to increase the available pool of skilled staff
  • Expertise in several relevant programming languages used in the development of enterprise systems
