Private Client Solicitor

An exciting opportunity has arisen at a leading law firm in Exeter for a Private Client Lawyer to join their dynamic team. This is a fantastic chance to work with a top-tier law firm that offers a unique blend of international presence and South-West culture, allowing for a great work-life balance.
This is a varied and broad Private Wealth role, involving acting for individuals, companies, and trusts in the UK and internationally. The successful candidate will undertake all types of private client work, including the preparation of Wills, Powers of Attorney, Domestic Trusts, probate, and income and capital tax planning.
Key Responsibilities:- Estate and asset protection planning;
- Drafting wills, including tax-efficient wills and those incorporating trusts;
- Probate planning and Estate Administration;
- Efficient file management skills and ensuring files are managed in compliance with Lexcel procedures;
- Participating in firm-wide and departmental training sessions;
- Training and development of junior legal staff.
- Qualified solicitor (or equivalent) with circa 1-4 years PQE in private client work, though NQs will be considered for those with relevant experience;
- Client management experience, including a good understanding of the financial disciplines required to be a successful fee earner;
- Commercial awareness and excellent financial management;
- Solid academic record.
