Our client, a leader in the design, manufacturing, and distribution of advanced laser cutting and engraving systems, is looking for a skilled Production Operations Manager. This role is crucial for driving productivity, ensuring quality, and fostering a strong work ethic within the team.
In this position, quality assurance is paramount. We seek a Production Operations Manager who can effectively oversee both the volume and quality of output, ensuring that the highest standards are consistently met.
Immediate Responsibilities:- Supervision of a small assembly team, along with a select group of subcontractors.
- Achievement of production targets, aiming for one machine per team member each week, including the manager; targeting a total of four machines.
- Addressing any quality issues promptly, with a focus on minimizing rework and ensuring that all machines meet the required specifications before delivery.
- Motivating team members and strategically planning work assignments based on individual capabilities and project needs.
- Evaluating team composition and skill sets to ensure optimal task allocation, while identifying training opportunities as necessary.
- Implementation of a bonus structure for the assembly team to enhance motivation and performance.
- Continuous improvement of processes to boost both output and quality.
- Provision of 20 days of annual leave, in addition to statutory holidays, with an increase of one day for each year of service, up to a maximum of five additional days.
Working hours are from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday.
