Job Summary:

Hotel Du Vin is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head Chef to lead our kitchen team and deliver exceptional culinary experiences to our guests. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the kitchen, ensuring high standards of quality, safety, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement menus that showcase our brand's culinary expertise and appeal to a wide range of tastes and dietary requirements.
  • Lead and motivate a team of chefs and kitchen staff to achieve exceptional results and maintain a positive and inclusive work environment.
  • Collaborate with the General Manager to drive business growth and profitability through effective menu planning, inventory management, and cost control.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, food safety standards, and company policies.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and new technologies to continuously improve kitchen operations and menu offerings.

Requirements:

  • Proven track record of success as a Head Chef or Senior Chef in a high-volume, fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Excellent culinary skills, with a deep understanding of flavor profiles, menu engineering, and kitchen operations.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
