Commercial Manager / Quantity Surveyor Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Commercial Manager / Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic and rapidly expanding team at Jobwise Ltd. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of the contractual and financial side of our projects, ensuring that our maintenance, repairs, or installations are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Project Costing and Analysis: Prepare and analyze project costings for tenders, including materials, quantities, labor, and time.
  • Contract Management: Negotiate and manage contracts with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.
  • Cost Control: Monitor and control costs throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Reporting and Compliance: Prepare and submit detailed progress reports and financial statements, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Procurement and Risk Management: Advise on procurement strategy and risk management, ensuring the company's interests are protected.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate with the team and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
Requirements:
  • Experience: Previous experience working as a commercial manager / quantity surveyor, ideally with a main contractor.
  • Education: Graduates with commercial experience gained on day release may be considered.
  • Skills: Strong communication skills, ability to work well as part of a team and independently, high attention to detail, and strong organizational and prioritizing skills.
