Job Summary:


As a Metal Fabrication Specialist, you will be tasked with fabricating and welding metal components to construct custom structures and products.

This position demands expertise in MIG, TIG, and MMA welding methods, alongside a strong capability to read and interpret technical schematics.

The ideal candidate will hold a CSCS card, possess a valid driver's license, and demonstrate a commitment to upholding high safety and quality standards.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Welding: Execute MIG, TIG, and ARC welding on a variety of metals, including steel, aluminum, and stainless steel, to fabricate custom components and structures.
  • Fabrication: Cut, shape, and assemble metal parts in accordance with technical drawings and specifications, ensuring precision and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Technical Interpretation: Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and work instructions to ascertain project requirements and specifications.
  • Quality Control: Conduct comprehensive inspections of completed welds and fabricated components to ensure adherence to quality standards and customer specifications.
  • Safety Compliance: Follow all safety protocols and regulations, maintaining a tidy and organized workspace while ensuring proper use of protective equipment.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Operate and maintain welding and fabrication machinery, identifying maintenance needs and reporting issues promptly.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate closely with other team members and departments to ensure project timelines are met and customer satisfaction is achieved.
  • Travel: Travel to various job sites as necessary to perform welding and fabrication tasks, requiring a valid driver's license and occasional overnight stays.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a metal fabrication role, with proven proficiency in MIG, TIG, and MMA welding techniques.
  • CSCS Card: Holding a valid CSCS (Construction Skills Certification Scheme) card is advantageous.
  • Driver's License: Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Technical Skills: Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
  • Attention to Detail: High level of precision and attention to detail in all fabrication and welding tasks.
  • Safety Awareness: Comprehensive understanding of safety protocols and best practices in a fabrication and welding environment.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to troubleshoot and resolve fabrication and welding issues effectively.
  • Capability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy materials and working in various positions.
  • Certifications: Additional welding certifications or qualifications are a plus.
