Position Overview
This role is an excellent opportunity to be part of a seasoned 2nd line software support team. You will be tasked with addressing issues reported by clients through our service management platform, specifically for our CONNECT Police software.
As a member of a team with a robust technical foundation, you will collaborate with professionals who have experience in software development, user support, and system implementation. The position will involve a combination of remote work and office-based responsibilities, so candidates should be located within a reasonable commuting distance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver support for software applications;
- Take ownership of complex application issues and lead investigations;
- Replicate scenarios in internal testing environments to validate defects;
- Document and propose temporary solutions;
- Adhere to service level agreements (SLAs);
- Follow ITIL-aligned support processes;
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners;
- Participate in an on-call rotation for after-hours support.
Qualifications:
We are looking for candidates who possess:
- Experience with complex custom software applications in support, development, or quality assurance roles;
- Familiarity with structured, process-oriented environments;
- Experience with IT service management tools;
- ITIL Foundation certification;
- Skills in investigating data-related issues within relational databases;
- Ability to create and manipulate SQL scripts for database management;
- Experience in analyzing log files and managing services across various operating systems, including Microsoft Windows and UNIX Solaris;
- Understanding of software development principles in ISO 9001/ISO 20000 accredited settings.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with Microsoft Windows Server and Linux environments;
- Knowledge of Java, Ensemble/IRIS, Microsoft .NET, SQL, Oracle, JetNexus, JavaScript, HTML, and Active MQ.
