Job Summary:

The successful Procurement Specialist will be responsible for the timely procurement and supply of raw materials, assemblies, and support services to maintain production at ACS Performance. This role involves managing select suppliers to ensure on-time delivery while managing inventory levels to prevent shortages and maximize turns.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Procurement Planning: Preparation and distribution of weekly procurement reports to selected supply chain partners, ensuring that all respond, and data is entered into the company's Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system.
  • Supplier Management: Analyses exception messages from the ERP system, and places purchase orders ensuring cost-effective timely delivery.
  • Document Preparation: Preparation of document packs (electronic) in support of custom part order needs, (i.e., drawings, Bill of Materials, Gerber files) ready to submit to supply chain partners.
  • Inventory Management: Manage selected suppliers to control inventories and ensure timely flow of material.
  • Commodity Knowledge: Develop working knowledge of commodities and associated supplier base.

Requirements:

  • Technical Skills: Strong IT skills and a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
  • Analytical Skills: Advanced Microsoft analytical skills desired but not essential.
  • Industry Experience: Experience in purchasing electronic or electro-mechanical parts desirable.
  • Personal Qualities: Upholds organisational values, works with integrity and ethically in all situations, and always treats others with respect and consideration, regardless of their status or position.
  • Work Ethic: Perseveres in accomplishing tasks or objectives and maintains a sense of urgency about getting results.
