Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, United Kingdom TTP Full time

About Cellular Origins

Cell therapies have demonstrated the potential to combat serious illnesses such as cancer by reprogramming the immune system of patients, providing hope in previously hopeless situations. To broaden access to these life-saving treatments, a transformation in manufacturing and process automation is essential.

Cellular Origins, a subsidiary of TTP, is at the forefront of this transformation. Our innovative technology addresses the complexities of large-scale production through a sophisticated robotic automation system that minimizes costs, reduces labor, eliminates human error, and enhances efficiency.

Position Overview: Test & Development Engineer

This role presents an excellent opportunity to be part of our Product Delivery team, significantly influencing the future of the Cellular Origins' Constellation system. Collaborating with a diverse team of engineers and scientists, you will play a vital role in realizing our vision through comprehensive development and thorough testing.

As a Test and Development Engineer, you will be central to product delivery, focusing on the testing and validation of our pioneering robotic automated manufacturing system designed for cell therapy production.

In partnership with our Senior Test and Development Engineers, your responsibilities will include:

  • Assembly of electro-mechanical devices, testing prototype components and systems, and facilitating the transition to manufacturing.
  • Conducting reliability testing to ensure our systems endure the demands of real-world applications, thereby enhancing the durability and longevity of our technology.

This position offers a unique chance to make a significant impact in a technically challenging and mission-driven environment, working alongside dedicated colleagues to shape the future of cell therapy manufacturing.

Candidate Requirements

  • A solid engineering foundation with a specialization in Mechanical or Electronics, acquired through formal education or vocational training.
  • Demonstrated experience in testing and troubleshooting intricate electromechanical systems, ideally within a product development context.
  • Understanding of reliability testing methodologies, with the capability to implement and execute test plans to ensure product quality and performance.
  • Strong technical analysis and documentation skills, including the ability to generate Test Specifications, Test Protocols, and Test Reports.
  • Proficiency in using relevant software tools for executing test scripts, processing log files, and managing database information.
  • Exceptional communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to thrive in interdisciplinary teams and dynamic environments.

While the above criteria outline our ideal candidate, we recognize that not all applicants may meet every requirement. We value diversity and encourage individuals to apply if they meet most of the outlined qualifications.

Employee Benefits

As part of TTP Group, an employee-owned organization, Cellular Origins is situated within purpose-built sustainable offices and laboratories. TTP Group has been a leader in bioprocess automation for over two decades, fostering a culture of entrepreneurship, collaboration, and shared ideas while allowing you the freedom to excel in your work.
