Aircraft Mechanic Job Description

Qatar Airways is seeking a skilled Aircraft Mechanic to join our team in London Heathrow. As an Aircraft Mechanic, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality aircraft maintenance services to support our operational requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform scheduled and non-scheduled tasks on QR or customer aircraft in accordance with maintenance data and procedures.
  • Advise and assist engineers on aircraft and technical documentation to ensure accurate record-keeping.
  • Ensure compliance with company HSE standards and regulations, and promote a safe working environment.
  • Inspect and examine aircraft, engines, and components for damage or defects.
  • Service, clean, and maintain aircraft equipment and tools.
  • Provide support for AOG situations and operational requirements in various regions.
  • Perform line maintenance services for customer airlines according to contract requirements.
  • Maintain line stores in accordance with QR standards.
Requirements:
  • Relevant vocational, tertiary, or trade qualification from a recognized aeronautical or technical college.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as an Aircraft Mechanic, with 3 years in modern jet aircraft.
  • Experience working in one or more aircraft types operated by Qatar Airways.
  • Strong knowledge of aircraft maintenance fundamentals and ability to work independently.
  • Basic computer skills and strong communication skills in a multicultural environment.
  • Ability to work in a high-pressure environment with 24/7 shift patterns.
