Job Summary:
De Vere is seeking a highly skilled Financial Controller to join our Central Finance team at our Head Office in Harrogate. As a key member of our finance team, you will play a crucial role in supporting our financial operations and providing strategic leadership to our De Vere Property Finance Teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the Management Accounts function, overseeing month-end accounting processes and producing reports.
- Oversee budgeting and forecasting, as well as handling VAT returns and internal audits.
- Work closely with the Group Head of Finance and the finance team to provide strategic leadership.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the hospitality sector.
- Intermediate level Excel skills are essential; group intercompany accounting experience is preferable.
- Strong analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with various teams.
- Studying towards a recognised accounting qualification (CIMA, ACCA, etc.) - study support will be provided.
