Job Role: Cleaning Operative

Location: HMP Hollesley Bay

Salary: £23,000 per annum

Contract: Full-time permanent

We are seeking a dedicated Cleaning Operative to join our team at HMP Hollesley Bay, a Category D prison. Our team is a supportive and driven family, working together to create a safe and nurturing environment.

HMP Hollesley Bay operates like a self-contained town, requiring hundreds of people to keep it functioning. As the Facilities Maintenance Team, we are committed to driving the smooth and safe operation, impacting every prisoner, employee, and visitor, as well as their families and the wider community.

As a Cleaning Operative, you will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced and passionate colleagues from various backgrounds, including Plumbers, Electricians, Carpenters, Painters, Cleaners, and Administrators. We are looking for a candidate with any combination of:

  • Experience working within a cleaning environment
  • Knowledge of COSHH
  • Knowledge of relevant health and safety requirements
  • Excellent organisational, time management, and people skills
