Technical Sales Specialist
- Full Time, Permanent Position

The ideal candidate will possess qualifications in electrical work and have practical experience in commercial settings, particularly within the leisure, marina, and secondary low-voltage distribution sectors. Previous experience in these fields is beneficial but not mandatory.
This role is suitable for someone eager to transition into planning, estimating, and project management responsibilities.
The position entails significant travel across the UK to engage with clients and potential clients, delivering technical presentations and elucidating products and services.
Responsibilities include conducting site assessments, preparing electrical designs, and generating quotations.
The successful candidate will be a self-motivated individual who is adaptable and dependable.
Confidence in working independently as well as collaboratively within a team is essential, along with the ability to demonstrate the necessary practical and theoretical standards for the role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the primary contact for installation inquiries.
- Conduct site assessments at client locations.
- Prepare electrical designs and calculations based on survey data.
- Create electrical designs utilizing specialized software.
- Generate estimates and quotations.
- Engage with clients regarding proposals and negotiate successful agreements.
- Ensure efficient project execution in compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards, aiming for maximum client satisfaction.
- Oversee all aspects of project management.
- Prepare projects, including planning, documentation, equipment logistics, and organizing meetings.
- Serve as the main point of contact for clients throughout project duration.
- Supervise site personnel and indirectly manage other staff on-site.
Candidate Profile:
- Proficient in PC applications, including MS Office.
- Basic knowledge of AutoCAD is a plus; training will be provided.
- Familiarity with electrical design tools is advantageous but not essential, as training will be offered.
- IOSH training is beneficial but not required, as training will be provided.
- Must hold a valid UK driving license.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently to meet deadlines.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.
- Strong customer relationship and communication skills.
- Understanding of the technical and operational challenges in the leisure and marine sectors.
- Results-oriented and organized.
