About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant with a passion for supporting students with Autism to join our team in Sheffield.

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing tailored support to students with Autism, helping them navigate academic and social challenges.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Provide targeted assistance to students with Autism, adapting learning materials and strategies to meet their individual needs.
  2. Monitor student progress, offering feedback to teachers and parents to ensure they are reaching key developmental milestones.
  3. Create a safe, structured, and nurturing environment, offering emotional guidance to help students manage their anxieties and sensory sensitivities.
  4. Maintain strong lines of communication with teachers, parents, and professionals involved in each student's education.
  5. Promote social integration and inclusivity within the school community.
Requirements
  • Relevant experience as an SEN Teaching Assistant, particularly with students on the Autism spectrum.
  • Strong empathy, patience, and a genuine passion for helping students with Autism succeed.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team, adapting to meet the unique needs of each student.
