We are currently seeking both full-time and part-time Heavy Goods Vehicle Operators with Shunting experience to enhance our operations in Carlisle. The role involves working 50 hours per week across various shift patterns.

Your Role and Responsibilities:

As a Heavy Goods Vehicle Operator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring timely transportation of goods. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Safely transporting products using single or double-deck trailers between depots, warehouses, and customers.
  • Adhering to Health & Safety regulations at all times.
  • Working closely with colleagues and representing Gist positively in all interactions.

Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you should possess:

  • A valid Class 1 driving license with a minimum of 18 months of Class 1 and shunting experience.
  • A maximum of 6 endorsements, with no accidents in the past 12 months.
  • No points for driving under the influence or illegal substances.
  • A minimum of 3 CPC units is desirable.
