Job Overview

ZipRecruiter is seeking a highly skilled Buildings Design Manager to join our team. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for overseeing the management of multidisciplinary design elements of buildings, ensuring designer technical performance and making appropriate technical responses.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Provide technical design guidance and review of overall design packages, including safety functional requirements as defined in the Safety Case.
  2. Ensure integration of designs with other design packages.
  3. Develop and implement effective project implementation plans, identifying key factors and contributing to the project's technical planning process.
  4. Collaborate with project managers to ensure design documentation covers the scope of operations required and is produced to agreed standards, schedule, and budget.

Requirements

  1. Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Architecture or Engineering.
  2. Previous experience in high-level technical management of complex building projects, including design and construction of major new industrial buildings with multifunctionality.
  3. Experience in high-hazard facilities in the nuclear sector or hospitals is beneficial.

Preferred Qualifications

  1. Nuclear / Defence / Highly regulated experience.
