Company: Reed Property & Construction is seeking to fill two positions for Lead Electrical Technicians. Our organization specializes in the management and maintenance of water and wastewater facilities.
Role Overview:
The primary responsibility of this role is to oversee and guide site-based personnel in their daily operations to ensure the successful completion of projects as outlined by clients.
Key responsibilities include:
- Planning and supervising the Projects team and any subcontractors to guarantee that tasks are executed to a specified standard, within the agreed timeframe and budget.
- Engaging proactively with Project Engineers to prioritize work activities.
- Ensuring compliance with all Health, Safety, and Environmental regulations.
- Managing day-to-day operations of the Projects team, including overseeing holidays, training, performance evaluations, and timesheet management.
- Maximizing productivity on-site through effective planning of labor, equipment, and materials.
- Assisting the Construction Manager with daily operations and being prepared to step in when necessary.
- Creating and reviewing Risk Assessments and Method Statements before and after job completion.
- Collaborating with the Planning Engineer and Site Manager to ensure that sufficient and achievable work fronts are consistently available.
- Coaching and managing the performance of team members across various functions.
- Ensuring compliance with Electrical Safety Regulations on-site.
- Training to achieve Approved Person (AP) status concerning Electrical Safety Rules (ESR) and Isolation Safety Rules (ISR) as applicable to the role.
- Relevant Electrical Certifications.
- CSCS Card Holder.
- Valid SSSTS or SMSTS certification.
- Experience in safety management for construction projects in general site conditions.
- Background in Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering.
- Strong understanding of planned preventative maintenance.
- Proficient IT skills, including knowledge of Excel and Word.
- Experience in the Water/Wastewater sector is advantageous.
- Valid UK Driving License.
