We are collaborating with a public sector entity seeking a Childcare Legal Advisor to enhance their legal team on a permanent basis.

This position is full-time, primarily remote, with one day per week in the office. The salary range for this role is £45,495 to £52,658 annually.

The successful applicant will be a qualified Solicitor with significant expertise in handling Childcare legal issues within a local authority context.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Overseeing a diverse caseload with minimal oversight, addressing a broad spectrum of Childcare legal concerns.
  • Conducting intricate legal proceedings, including advanced advocacy tasks.
  • Representing the organization and facilitating the provision of legal services.
  • Offering strategic guidance to Elected Members and various Directorate and Corporate teams.
  • Assisting in the formulation and execution of Service Level Agreements between Legal Services and internal stakeholders.
  • Proactively identifying and managing risks and opportunities in alignment with the organization’s best interests, while escalating significant issues to the Senior Lawyer and Principal Solicitor.

Required Qualifications:

  • Qualified Solicitor / CILEX Lawyer.
  • Essential experience within local government.
