About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Vehicle Technician to join our team at Babcock International Group. As a Vehicle Technician, you will play a critical role in supporting our customers, including the police, fire, and ambulance service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Fit out vehicles in preparation for them being armoured
  • Remove and fit seats, panels, roof lining, door cards, interior trim, carpets, switch gear light clusters, bumpers
  • Remove and refit automotive parts and components
  • Completing minor mechanical tasks; changing brake fluid
  • Replacing mechanical components; suspension or brakes

Requirements

  • Experience using hand and power tools
  • Effective verbal and written communication
  • Ability to work effectively under own initiative, or as part of a team to achieve desired results
  • Ability to work safely in an industrial environment

Qualifications

  • NVQ level 2 (or proven automotive experience)

Security Clearance

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
