Job Title: Senior Applications Engineer
Location: Aylesbury
Salary: £30,000-£50,000 DOE
Role Overview:
As a Senior Applications Engineer, you will be instrumental in developing advanced heat exchange systems. You will work closely with senior engineers to ensure that all mechanical designs are executed to the highest standards, addressing client needs and optimizing performance and cost.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design Implementation: Create and refine thermal and mechanical designs for heat exchangers, ensuring alignment with client specifications and industry standards.
- Technical Skills: Apply knowledge of commercial codes such as Aspen and HTRI, and adhere to pressure vessel codes like ASME VIII.
- Team Collaboration: Coordinate with Procurement, suppliers, and clients to manage material costs and streamline project delivery.
- Leadership: Guide and support junior engineers, providing mentorship and fostering their professional development.
- Client Engagement: Maintain effective communication with clients to address technical queries and ensure their requirements are met.
- Process Improvement: Contribute to the enhancement of design processes and project execution through continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Qualifications:
- Education: A degree in a relevant engineering discipline; Chartered status or progress towards it is preferred.
- Experience: Demonstrated experience in designing heat exchangers, steam heaters, and familiarity with commercial codes and pressure vessel standards.
- Skills: Excellent attention to detail, strong communication abilities, resilience, and adaptability.
