Job Title: Principal Embedded Software Development Engineer

Job Summary:

Raymarine UK Ltd is seeking an experienced Principal Embedded Software Development Engineer to join our team in Fareham. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining software for our products, working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development of embedded software for our products, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality results.
  • Collaborate with engineers to design and implement software architecture, uphold coding standards, and implement quality improvements.
  • Develop and maintain software documentation, ensuring clarity and accuracy.
  • Work closely with the Agile team to ensure seamless integration and delivery of software components.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers, promoting knowledge sharing and skill development.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in embedded software development, with a strong track record of delivering high-quality software.
  • Excellent understanding of C/C++ programming languages and real-time systems.
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies and version control systems.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex issues and develop effective solutions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
