We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Planning Officer to join our Planning Decisions Team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading a range of development schemes, maintaining and improving planning performance, and providing an excellent customer experience.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to develop your planning knowledge and experience in a busy planning environment. You will deal with a full range of planning applications, including industrial, retail, business, residential, green belt, and heritage projects. A thorough understanding of development management and associated planning legislation is essential, but further training opportunities will be available to enhance your skills and experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a range of development schemes and maintain and improve planning performance
  • Provide an excellent customer experience and deal with a full range of planning applications
  • Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of development management and associated planning legislation
  • Collaborate with colleagues to achieve team goals and objectives
