About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Front End Web Developer to join our dynamic team at Roku. As a key member of our front end development team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality, scalable, and user-friendly web applications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop responsive and performant web applications using modern front end frameworks
  • Collaborate with UX/UI designers to implement visually appealing and user-friendly interfaces
  • Optimize web applications for maximum speed and scalability
  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code
  • Contribute to architectural decisions and best practices for front end development
  • Mentor junior developers and participate in code reviews
Requirements
  • 7+ years of experience in front end web development
  • Expert-level knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
  • Proficiency in at least one modern front end framework (e.g., React, Vue)
  • Strong understanding of web performance optimization techniques
  • Experience with version control systems (preferably Git)
  • Familiarity with RESTful APIs and GraphQL
  • Understanding of computer graphics principles and game development concepts
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms, CI/CD pipelines and server-side technologies preferred
  • Experience in C/C++ and knowledge of lower-level programming preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
