LGV Driver - Class 1

Overall Job Purpose

As an LGV Class 1 Driver, you will be responsible for the safe and timely delivery and collection of goods across various locations. You will work closely with our Transport Team to ensure all deliveries are completed efficiently and in accordance with company procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant road traffic regulations and driver hours legislation.
  • Conduct thorough daily vehicle inspections and report any defects promptly.
  • Load and secure cargo safely and efficiently, ensuring it is properly documented.
  • Plan and execute delivery routes effectively, adhering to agreed timeframes.
  • Maintain clear communication with the Transport Team regarding delivery progress and any unforeseen circumstances.
Requirements
  • Valid LGV Class 1 driving licence.
  • Excellent knowledge of UK road networks and traffic regulations.
  • Strong commitment to safety and adherence to company procedures.
  • Professional and courteous communication skills.
