As a Property Accounts Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in supporting a senior client accountant in managing a diverse portfolio of accounts, encompassing a significant number of units. Your responsibilities will cover various accounting functions associated with this portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process incoming payments accurately to the appropriate leaseholder accounts.
  • Conduct monthly reconciliations of client bank accounts to ensure accuracy.
  • Engage with clients regarding unpaid rents and service charges, issuing arrears notifications and coordinating with legal representatives when necessary.
  • Assist in the preparation of year-end service charge accounts for external accountants, including document collection for auditors.
  • Distribute year-end accounts and balancing charges to tenants and leaseholders, accompanied by explanatory cover letters.
  • Generate quarterly and, at times, monthly variance reports for internal review.
  • Provide regular reporting to clients, including monthly updates and potential rent transfers.
  • Address inquiries from tenants, leaseholders, suppliers, clients, and accountants in a professional manner.
  • Establish new management accounts following lease renewals and expirations.
  • Perform additional tasks as required to facilitate the efficient operation of the department.


Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in service charge accounting.
  • Proficiency in QUBE software is mandatory.
  • Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative team player.


Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5:30 PM, with the option for remote work two days a week after a probationary period.
Benefits: 23 days of annual leave (including a holiday shutdown) plus 8 public holidays.
Salary Range: Competitive salary between £30,000 and £40,000.
