Role Overview
The primary objective of this position is to perform both preventative and corrective maintenance tasks (encompassing electrical and mechanical aspects) to enhance the reliability, efficiency, and safety of our manufacturing facility and equipment. All activities will align with food safety protocols and Health & Safety regulations, enabling production teams to achieve their performance targets in terms of time, cost, and quality.
Work Schedule: Day Shift: rotating 3 on 3 off shift pattern
Compensation: Competitive salary
Key Responsibilities:
- Respond to and diagnose equipment breakdowns promptly and cost-effectively to ensure production goals are met.
- Conduct planned preventative maintenance, including site facilities and fabrication, to minimize production interruptions.
- Communicate technical and operational challenges efficiently to relevant teams.
- Maintain accurate documentation of breakdowns and planned maintenance activities using a CMMS.
- Advocate for and uphold safe working practices, ensuring health and safety standards are never compromised.
- Engage in Continuous Improvement initiatives, applying a logical approach to engineering and operational challenges while adhering to legal compliance.
- Assist in identifying spare parts needs and managing inventory levels as required.
- Execute tasks without compromising food safety or legal standards.
- Meet daily service expectations concerning both internal and external customer requirements while ensuring compliance with audit standards.
- Participate in various projects, ranging from machinery upgrades to facility enhancements.
Required Skills, Experience, and Qualifications:
- Experience in FMCG or food manufacturing.
- Familiarity with packaging machinery.
- Food Hygiene Level 2 certification.
- HACCP Level 2 training.
- 18th Edition Electrical Qualification.
- Energetic and enthusiastic approach.
- Self-driven and motivated.
- Adaptable and flexible mindset.
- Strong team collaboration skills.
