We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sustainability Programme Manager to lead key elements of large-scale, high-impact programmes within the food industry. As an ambassador for IGD's sustainability agenda, you will develop and manage a network of stakeholders and delivery partners to inform our approach and maximise impact.
Key Responsibilities- Project managing, owning, and delivering specific Sustainability projects within agreed timelines and budgets.
- Monthly reporting on progress against KPIs for your areas of responsibility, identifying risks, opportunities, and recommending contingencies.
- Working with colleagues, industry, delivery partners, and external consultants to develop and deliver relevant content for your projects.
- Developing your expertise in environmental methodologies, data, systems, and governance to make recommendations and inform our overall strategy.
- Using insights and data to inform and continually improve IGD's sustainability programmes.
- Contributing to preparation and delivery of project-relevant industry working groups to inform our approach, drive engagement, and maximise social impact.
- Nurturing a network of external stakeholders to support your projects, particularly in the landscape of environmental methodologies, data, systems, reporting, and governance.
- Working with the Marketing team to develop effective communications plans for your areas of responsibility, to raise awareness and drive engagement with our Sustainability programmes.
- Experience working across the environmental sustainability agenda.
- Strong project management skills, being well-organised and capable of working under pressure, adopting a flexible approach to changing priorities.
- Highly motivated with the ability to drive programmes forward under your own initiative and the flexibility to work across a range of Sustainability issues.
- Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills, experience managing a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
