Position Overview

This role is part of a newly established community Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) initiative, supported by local governance and health authorities. The primary objective of this service is to enhance IPC practices across various community settings, including residential care facilities, home care services, and supported living environments.

The successful candidate will contribute to the assurance and enhancement of infection control measures, focusing on surveillance and the reduction of Healthcare Acquired Infections (HCAI) within the community.

Key Responsibilities

The role is predominantly advisory, serving as the main point of contact for inquiries from colleagues and community care providers. Responsibilities include:

  • Managing a diverse range of queries and issues from various stakeholders.
  • Addressing complaints and feedback with sensitivity and professionalism, ensuring appropriate referrals are made.
  • Communicating complex administrative processes clearly to colleagues and external organizations.
  • Collaborating with other administrative staff to maintain effective communication networks.
  • Promoting a positive image of the service through professional interactions.

Analytical Skills

The role requires sound judgment in resolving queries and escalating issues when necessary.

  • Independently planning and executing administrative duties with guidance from management.

Qualifications and Skills

Essential

  • NVQ Level 3 in Business Administration or equivalent experience.

  • Intermediate proficiency in IT systems, particularly Microsoft Office.
