We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Neonatal Intensive Care Specialist to join our team at Sandwell and West Birmingham NHS Trust. As a key member of our Neonatal Unit, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to critically ill newborns and their families.
Your role will involve working closely with our multidisciplinary team to deliver evidence-based care, supporting students and colleagues in their professional development, and contributing to the transformation of services in our ward environments.
We are a 29-bedded Level 2 Local Neonatal Unit, incorporating 5 ITU, 5 HDU of mixed acuity, and 19 SCBU beds admitting babies from 27 weeks plus. Our team includes Advanced Nurse Practitioners, Allied Health Professionals, and Neonatal Community Outreach Team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for contributing to the wider organization strategies in preparation for our move to the new Midland Metropolitan University Hospital due to open in 2024. This is an exciting time for our service and our teams as we work to facilitate the smooth relocation of inpatient services.
