Eton College is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Graduate Teacher of Science to join our dynamic team. As a Graduate Teacher, you will play a key role in shaping the educational experience of our students and contributing to the college's mission to provide an exceptional education.

About the Role

The Graduate Teacher of Science will be responsible for teaching Science to students in Years 7-13, developing and delivering engaging lesson plans, and assessing student progress. You will also contribute to the development of the Science department, participating in curriculum design, and collaborating with colleagues to ensure a cohesive and effective teaching approach.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach Science to students in Years 7-13, using a range of teaching methods and technologies to engage students and promote learning
  • Develop and deliver lesson plans that meet the needs of students with varying abilities and learning styles
  • Assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and guidance to support student achievement
  • Contribute to the development of the Science department, participating in curriculum design and collaborating with colleagues to ensure a cohesive and effective teaching approach
  • Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the development of departmental policies and procedures
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A good undergraduate degree in a Science-related subject (or a subject closely related to the school curriculum)
  • A clear passion for teaching and learning, with a commitment to delivering high-quality education
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, colleagues, and parents
  • A willingness to participate in ongoing professional development, including training and coaching to enhance teaching skills and subject knowledge
