Position Overview
The Christie NHS Foundation Trust is looking to expand its team by appointing three Senior Anaesthesia Consultants. These roles are crucial in enhancing our service delivery across various oncological specialties. We are particularly interested in candidates with specialized expertise in Critical Care and/or Pain Management. All appointees will engage in a diverse range of adult general anaesthesia responsibilities, supporting our specialized surgical teams.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidates will play a vital role in providing anaesthetic services across multiple oncological specialties. Responsibilities include:
- Delivering anaesthesia for oncological surgeries and radiotherapy.
- Participating in out-of-hours on-call cover for theatres or critical care as required.
- Collaborating with the Clinical Director for Anaesthesia & Critical Care to develop personalized job plans that reflect individual skills and interests.
- Engaging in continuous professional development and contributing to the dynamic growth of our services.

Qualifications and Experience
Candidates must possess the following qualifications:
- Full GMC registration with a valid license to practice.
- CCT or CESR (or equivalent) with entry on the Specialist Register for Anaesthesia.
- Relevant postgraduate qualifications and experience in anaesthesia/intensive care.
