Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef to join our team at Mallory Court. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for managing a section of our kitchen, preparing, cooking, and presenting high-quality food to our guests.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a section of the kitchen, including preparing, cooking, and presenting high-quality food;
  • Work closely with the Head Chef to develop new menus and dishes;
  • Mentor and support junior chefs and apprentices to help them develop their skills and knowledge;
  • Ensure that all food is prepared and presented to a high standard, meeting the expectations of our guests;
  • Contribute to the development of our kitchen team, including training and coaching junior chefs;
  • Work collaboratively with other departments, including front of house and management, to ensure seamless service delivery;
  • Ensure that all kitchen operations are run efficiently and effectively, meeting the highest standards of quality and safety;
  • Monitor and control kitchen costs, including food, labor, and supplies;
  • Develop and implement new ideas and initiatives to improve kitchen operations and guest satisfaction;
  • Ensure that all kitchen staff are aware of and adhere to our company's policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a senior chef in a high-volume kitchen environment;
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team;
  • Excellent culinary skills, with a passion for creating high-quality dishes;
  • Ability to work under pressure, meeting deadlines and delivering results in a fast-paced environment;
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and guests;
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays;
  • Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices, with the ability to maintain high standards in the kitchen;
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
