Job Title: Senior Pricing Analyst

At SAGA, we are seeking a highly skilled Senior Pricing Analyst to join our team. As a Senior Pricing Analyst, you will play a critical role in managing our street pricing to support the delivery of our insurance strategy, customer outcomes, and contribution to the achievement of our overall P&L for Saga Services (SSL).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement innovative pricing solutions to continuously improve our pricing capabilities and support trading performance.
  • Work closely with Pricing Managers to develop and implement complex solutions to help improve our pricing capabilities.
  • Use data to identify areas of opportunity to drive commercial value and competitive advantage, delivering profitable growth for our insurance business.
  • Provide pricing thought leadership using your experience of insurance pricing and data.
  • Support strategic projects and provide subject matter expert support in your areas of expertise.
  • Assist in the development of pricing models for deployment to the rating system, making best use of Radar and other software tools.
  • Make recommendations based on your analysis and monitor the impact of changes post-implementation.
  • Develop an excellent relationship with our in-house underwriter and work on joint insurance initiatives to enhance group value.
  • Support business change initiatives and ensure adherence to pricing fairness rules and data usage policies.
Requirements:
  • Personal lines experience, ideally within one of our core 4 products: Motor, Home, Travel, and Private Medical.
  • Detailed knowledge of General Insurance pricing processes and methodologies.
  • Strong numerical and statistical capabilities.
  • Inquisitive, natural problem solver with excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong influencing and relationship management skills, with the ability to motivate others to win.
  • Proactive, enthusiastic, and self-motivated with strong organisational skills.
  • Knowledge of modelling software, such as Radar, Emblem, or similar systems.
  • Experienced in some programming languages, such as SQL, R, and Python.
  • Understanding of regulatory requirements in relation to pricing.
