Our maternity services handle a significant volume of births annually, providing a comprehensive preceptorship program designed to support your professional growth and confidence in both obstetric and midwifery-led care.

Our maternity unit is equipped with modern amenities, offering private rooms for all patients throughout their antenatal, delivery, and postnatal journeys. Additionally, we feature a successful alongside birth center that accommodates a substantial number of births each month, ensuring a range of options to meet the diverse needs of our clients and their families.

This role is designed to provide you with the opportunity to contribute to essential services within the maternity unit, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, safe care throughout the pregnancy, birth, and postnatal phases.

Key Responsibilities

The selected candidate will:

  • Deliver comprehensive care throughout the antenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal periods for women, newborns, and their families, empowering them in their care decisions.
  • Manage their workload effectively, prioritizing and planning care delivery for patients and their families.
  • Communicate openly and respectfully with patients, their families, and colleagues across various levels and departments.
  • Function as a competent autonomous practitioner, adhering to organizational policies and guidelines while participating in clinical governance and audit activities.

Proficiency in Welsh is advantageous for this position; however, candidates fluent in English are also encouraged to apply.
