Role Overview

Position: Brand Services Specialist (3D & Promotions)

Overview: The primary responsibility of this role is to evaluate a range of 3D products and promotional materials from different partners, ensuring compliance with brand standards and character authenticity.

The Brand Services Specialist is dedicated to preserving the vision and quality of the Pokémon brand. The successful candidate will be expected to engage deeply with the Pokémon universe, which includes playing video games, participating in trading card activities, and watching the animated series to understand how these elements influence product development. This position plays a crucial role in verifying that products align with the established guidelines and uphold the brand's integrity while ensuring the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess and approve submissions from designated partners, confirming alignment with brand guidelines and the use of authorized art assets.
  • Identify potential scheduling issues and communicate them to management along with suggested solutions.
  • Guide partners in accurately interpreting the brand for their specific products.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and licensees to strategize product and character launches based on annual focus characters, market capabilities, and product refresh rates.
  • Support both internal and external stakeholders in effectively representing the Pokémon brand through their offerings and marketing initiatives.
  • Engage in daily communication with partners via various channels.
  • Maintain comprehensive records of product development from initial concept through to final approval.
  • Work with colleagues to create process documentation, tools, and training resources for stakeholders.
  • Prepare presentations and assist with various projects as required.
  • Organize and catalog product samples.
  • Disseminate new assets and information to licensees as necessary.
  • Coordinate and participate in business meetings with licensees, which may involve travel.
  • Perform additional managerial and administrative tasks as assigned by management.

Qualifications

  • 5 to 7 years of relevant professional experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design, Toy Design, Illustration, or equivalent experience.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.
  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative environment while also demonstrating initiative in independent work.
  • Strong organizational and time management capabilities.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously with excellent follow-up skills.
  • Results-oriented and solution-focused mindset.
  • Willingness to learn and ask questions.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong skills in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
  • Familiarity with SolidWorks, Maya, or Zbrush is advantageous.
  • Project management experience is a plus.
  • Fluency in verbal and written Japanese is beneficial.
  • Knowledge of factory/industry processes is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel internationally as required.
