Key Responsibilities- Leadership and Management: Provide clinical leadership and management to the Oncology department, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care and services.
- Patient Care: Undertake clinical responsibility for patients with cancer, including diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up care.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including consultants, nurses, and other healthcare professionals, to ensure seamless patient care.
- Research and Development: Participate in research and development activities, including clinical trials and quality improvement initiatives.
- Education and Training: Contribute to the education and training of medical staff, students, and other healthcare professionals.
- Quality and Safety: Ensure compliance with national and local standards for cancer care, including clinical governance and quality assurance.
- Medical Qualifications: Hold a medical degree and be registered with the General Medical Council.
- Clinical Experience: Have significant experience in medical oncology, including leadership and management roles.
- Communication Skills: Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, staff, and other stakeholders.
