About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Bid Writer to join our Social Sector Contracts Team at Howdens Joinery. As a Bid Writer, you will be responsible for producing high-quality, compliant submissions that meet the needs of our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Compiling and creating bespoke bid responses to secure business tenders within the Contract Social Sector team.
- Preparing high-quality responses for pre-qualification questionnaires (PQQs), Invitation to Tender (ITTs), and case studies.
- Ensuring that win themes are articulated in a way that meets or exceeds client requirements.
- Managing the overall submission and re-tender of frameworks.
- Working closely with stakeholders across the Social Sector Contract team.
- Providing support to the business development function as needed, in line with business strategy, and taking ownership of ad-hoc projects.
- Identifying and re-working existing pre-written content where relevant.
- Obtaining, reviewing, and editing information received from subject matter experts.
- Managing deadlines to ensure timely delivery.
Requirements:
- Previous experience of responding to tenders and bid writing.
- Proven ability in planning, compiling, and delivering compliant bids.
- Experience of working in a busy, multi-activity level environment.
- Experience of writing bespoke bid responses to tenders.
- Experience of building relationships at all levels with a collaborative approach.
- Comfortable working independently.
- Meticulous and detail-oriented with a conscientious approach.
- Self-motivated and highly organized.
- Experience and communication skills to build relationships at all levels.
