Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and repair diesel generators
  • Conduct load testing of generators
  • Perform major engine repairs and overhauls
  • Evaluate genset condition upon return to service
  • Implement modifications and upgrades to the genset fleet
  • Understand AC/DC electrical systems
  • Familiarity with engine ECM programming and diagnostics is a plus
  • Program control modules as needed

The responsibilities outlined above represent the core of the role; however, you may occasionally be asked to assist in other areas of the business as required.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • NVQ level 3 (or equivalent) in an engineering or mechanical discipline, including apprenticeships
  • Proven experience in servicing and repairing large engines (generators, HGVs, plant equipment, agricultural machinery)
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Proficient in basic MS Office applications
  • Well-organized and capable of maintaining vehicles to GSCS standards
