About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Junior Financial Analyst to join our Commercial Finance team at Sharpsmart UK. This is an exciting opportunity to gain practical experience in a finance role while receiving ongoing support and development.

The successful candidate will support commercial decision-making through financial analysis, aligning structures and processes to optimize business performance. This role can be based at our Rainham or Stoke on Trent plant.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform financial analysis, modeling, forecasting, and reporting to identify trends and increase financial performance
  • Support cost analysis and price modeling
  • Track and determine financial status by analyzing actual results in comparison with forecasts
  • Effectively present findings and recommendations to Commercial Finance Manager and Business Unit Leaders
  • Provide weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting in support of business initiatives and performance
  • Aid in budgeting and expenditure planning processes
  • Develop experience in ERP and business intelligence systems
Requirements
  • Degree qualified in a relevant subject
  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience in financial data analysis
  • Experience reviewing and analyzing costs, trends, profitability, margins, estimates, and contracts
  • Experience using ERP and Business Intelligence (BI) tools advantageous
  • Microsoft Office Suite - well-versed in Excel especially
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal
  • Driving license and willingness to travel
