About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Process Engineer to join our team at Kent Plc. As a key member of our Process Department, you will play a vital role in shaping our exciting projects in the energy sector.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead process engineering design for feasibility, concept, FEED, detailed design, or EPC projects
  • Supervise and direct process engineering work, allocating tasks to competent personnel as needed
  • Formulate resolutions to technically challenging issues and communicate effectively with clients and senior management
  • Review ITB documents, prepare man-hour estimates, and provide input to project execution plans
  • Supervise process activities, including process design basis, philosophies, studies, heat and material balances, PFDs and UFDs, PEDs, process systems, and HAZOP close-out
  • Participate in Factory Acceptance Tests and multi-discipline engineering design reviews
  • Identify clear scopes of work, supervise preparation of technical document registers, and plan/schedule process engineering activities and manpower resources
  • Provide support to procurement, including long lead items enquiries, technical requisitions, and vendor documentation reviews
  • Ensure compatibility and conformance with client specifications and recommend cost-effective improvements to equipment selection/specifications
  • Participate in HAZOP meetings and consult with quality assurance on quality issues
  • Contribute to training and development of other staff, including identifying employee strengths and weaknesses and recommending training and development requirements
Requirements
  • Master's degree in chemical engineering
  • Chartered status preferred, with significant related experience working for engineering/client organisations in the oil and gas industry and/or low-carbon energy transition projects
  • Extensive experience in onshore detailed design projects
  • Exposure to consultancy, FEED, and EPC projects
  • Knowledge of international equipment specifications and codes
  • In-depth knowledge of standard international specifications and codes
  • Knowledge of safety and quality procedures
