Job Summary:

We are seeking a Senior Building Surveyor to join our team in Somerset, working on Civils Projects across the South West. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all costs relating to building and civil engineering projects, ensuring projects are completed within the projected budget, and providing financial and commercial advice to the project team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all costs relating to building and civil engineering projects
  • Ensure projects are completed within the projected budget
  • Provide financial and commercial advice to the project team
  • Monitor and control costs throughout the project lifecycle
  • Identify, analyse, and develop responses to commercial risks
  • Manage subcontractor procurement, payments, and final accounts
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and quality standards

Person Specification:

  • Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the Civil Engineering sector
  • Knowledge of NEC contracts
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Relevant degree or professional qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related field
